Liberec, Czechia

Liberec is a city of roughly 105,000 residents and the largest city in northern Bohemia, set in the foothills of the Ještěd-Kozák ridge. Above it, the 1973 Ještěd TV tower by Karel Hubáček sits at 1,012 meters on the peak and earned the Perret Prize for its hyperboloid concrete shell. The Neo-Renaissance Liberec Town Hall, completed in 1893, dominates Dr. Edvard Beneš Square, while the 1958 botanical garden ranks among the oldest glasshouse gardens in Czechia.
