Walking in GRANADA / Spain 🇪🇸

Evening Tour in the City Centre

Granada in southern Spain’s Andalusia region is a popular tourist destination. With impressive medieval architecture from Moorish occupation, the Alhambra is one of the main sights while the old town also has many churches and monasteries from later periods.

On this evening walk we start near the Cathedral of Granada coming from Calle Gran Vía de Colón at the Calle Oficios. We check out the Iglesia del Sagrario which is connected to the cathedral and the walk around the old city centre.

There are mostly pedestrian streets that are getting busy on this evening (in February 2020). We see several squares like the Plaza de Mariana Pineda in the South, Plaza de Campillo Bajo with the fountain “Fuente de las Batallas”.

There in the commercial centre of Granada we visit the Church of St. Anton (Iglesia de San Antón) and keep walking North now until the Plaza De La Universidad.

It’s getting dark now so we head back to the Cathedral and Plaza Nueva in the San Pedro district. After a while we see the Alhambra towering over Granada and end this walk in this Andalusian city.
