Overview
We are in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok is the capital and largest city of Thailand, with a population of over 10 million. Bangkok is famous for its street food, offering dishes like pad thai and mango sticky rice. Chatuchak Market, one of the largest markets in the world, has over 15,000 stalls. We have visited Bangkok many times and recorded numerous walks here: Search: 'Bangkok'

This time our walking tour starts at Khaosan Road which is a famous street in Bangkok. The Khaosan area is known for its budget accommodations, street food, and nightlife. Especially Khaosan Road attracts backpackers from around the world and is somewhat infamous. The street is just 400 meters long but packed with hostels, bars, and markets. It’s been a hub for travelers since the 1980s and should be visited at least once when visiting Bangkok as fits as a nice cliché start or end of a South East Asia trip.

We walk along the Khaosan Road and then head towards China Town. We pass the big swing, some temples and end at Ong Ang Walking Street, located along the Ong Ang Canal. This street offers a different vibe. It’s a popular spot for strolling, street art, and live music.

The canal was recently restored, making it a clean and scenic place to visit. You can also rent kayaks to paddle along the water. The street comes alive in the evening with local vendors, food stalls, and craft shops.

Let's enjoy another side of Bangkok on this long walk from Khaosan Road to Ong Ang walking street.
