Walking in LARNACA / Cyprus 🇨🇾

Winter Day in Cyprus (2020)

Larnaca (Larnarka) / Cyprus is a port city on the south coast of the Island. Larnaca is possibly oldest city in Cyprus with some evidence of settlements some 6000 years ago. There are several beaches in Larnaca, like Finikoudes Beach, so vacationers also enjoy in this Cypriot city for their holidays.

We start our tour on the Europe Square near the Larnaca Municipal Art Gallery and Larnaka Historic Archives Museum. First we walk towards Finikoudes Beach, which sees no sunbathers at this moment in winter (February 2020).

We walk around the city center a bit, then back to the waterfront towards the Medieval Fort of Larnaca. From there we go to the Church of Saint Lazarus, which is an iconic medieval Greek Orthodox church.

Next we see more of residential Larnaca with many winding streets and alleys. We get a bit our of the city center towards the Archeological Museum, though head back to the center and our starting point.

For the final 15 minutes we see more of the tourist area of Larnaca along Athens Ave. We end our Larnaca tour at the Pierides Museum in the northern part of the city.
