Patong, Thailand
Patong is the main beach resort town on the western coast of Phuket Island in southern Thailand, home to around 20,000 permanent residents. Developing rapidly since the 1970s, the town centers around a three-kilometer crescent bay lined with soft sand and palm trees. Bangla Road converts into a pedestrian nightlife corridor after sunset, filled with music venues and street food vendors. Water sports operators line the beachfront, offering parasailing, jet-skiing, and boat trips across the Andaman Sea. Visitors explore night markets, beachfront restaurants, and coastal viewpoints overlooking the ocean.
