Split, in Croatia, is a coastal city popular with tourists. The city serves as a major transportation hub with a port that offers ferries to many nearby islands along the Dalmatian Coast.
We start our walk just outside the old town. First, we get to the main sight - the Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, built in the 4th century AD. Our tour continues all around the old town of Split where we enjoy the evening atmosphere with restaurants and bars opening up.
As we get to see most of Split’s old town, we even get out of the town walls before we return to the Republic Square, which resemble the Venice St. Marks Square in a smaller form, and end our walking tour.
