Lausanne, Switzerland, is located on Lake Geneva’s shores. The city of known for being the Olympic Capital, hosting the International Olympic Committee. Close to 140.000 people live in Lausanne, which is in the French speaking part of the country.

On this walking tour of Lausanne we experience the hilly landscape of the city center. We start from the Lausanne train station. Heading uphill we soon get to see the Lausanne Cathedral - a Gothic-style building where we also have a peek inside. The city has a lot to offer on art and culture. Tourists can enjoy several museums and galleries. The view from the top of the city center with the Alps in the distance is also nice.

Soon we head back down through the colorful old town with several shopping streets. At last we end our walking tour right we we started - at the Lausanne central train station.
