Ipoh / Malaysia is a city known as a gateway to the Cameron Highlands. Located in the northwest of the country, Ipoh is usually passed by tourists on the route from Penang to Kuala Lumpur. Ipoh is still an authentic Malay city with an interesting past and several buildings from colonial times.
We start our tour around sunset at the Guan Yin Temple which is located at the Kinta River. We walk into the old center with the colonial style train station and town hall. On our way we also pass a few of the murals for which Ipoh is known for by visitors.
With nighttime we head back to the city center and the area around Lou Wong. A nightmarket is being prepared now and several restaurants around invite guests for dinner. We walk around a bit this area and end our tour to get dinner.
