Walking in ODESA / Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

Central City Summer Tour (2019)

Odesa (ukr: ОдС́са / Odessa ru: ОдС́сса) in southern Ukraine is a popular summer destination for Ukrainians and tourists from other countries around the Black Sea. This time we are here during summer (July 2019).

We start at the famous Potemkin Stairs. Instead of walking directly around the touristic centre we check out the first 15 minutes around North-West near the Vorontsov Palace (under construction) and across the Tioschin Bridge which we haven’t seen on other walks. You can skip the first 15 minutes to more interesting areas around the opera house.

From Derybasivska Street we also explore the city centre. From Bunina Street we head back to the Katerynyns’ka Street and eventually to Monument to Catherine II to Potemkin Stairs.

Our tour continues in the most touristic area (apart from Arcadia beach) towards the city gardens. There are many cafΓ©s and people enjoy the summer evening. We finally head to the cathedral square, walk around a bit and end this Odesa tour.

The following walk continues with more to see on Derybasivska Street: https://youtu.be/dek89ZTZCUY
