Walking in LILLE / France 🇫🇷

Evening Tour

Lille / France is located near the border with Belgium. The Flemish city has an industrial background and now can be considered cultural center with a large student population.

We start our tour at the Lille-Flandres station train station (in June 2019). From there we walk down Rue Faidherbe to the Place du Théâtre with the 17th centry La Vieille Bourse (Vieille Bourse de Lille).

Going South of the city centre we head to the Place de la République with the Palais des Beaux Arts and leave the commerical centre.

We pass the Théâtre Sébastopol and make a little round in the residential “Wazemmes” district before we walk back to the centre of Lille passing the Monument to Louis Pasteur.

Seeing a bit of the centre again along Rue de Béthune we head back to the train station. There we end our evening tour at the “Les Tulipes de Shangri-La” by Yayoi Kusama. We start another walk just there https://youtu.be/us5Red50s_Q through the more historical area of Lille
