Odessa or Odesa (Ukrainian: ΠΠ΄Π΅ΜΡΠ°, Russian: ΠΠ΄Π΅ΜΡΡΠ°) is a port city in Ukraine on the Black Sea and a popular destination for its beaches in summer.
This evening we walk around the city centre to see Odessa’s 19th-century architecture, including the Odessa Opera.
We start at the Monument to Alexander Pushkin, walk past the Odessa City Hall and also see the Opera house. We make our way to the famous Potemkin Stairs and finally Derybasivska Street, a pedestrian walkway in the heart of Odessa. People enjoy their evening in many of the restaurants and fountains in little parks.
