ÇeÅŸme is a coastal town and a district in the western part of Turkey, located on the Aegean Sea’s clear waters, near the tip of the Ä°zmir Peninsula. It is known for its historical sites, beautiful beaches, and thermal springs. The name “ÇeÅŸme” means “fountain” in Turkish, reflecting the area’s numerous water sources. Tourists are mostly local with access to Cesme mainly through Ä°zmir, with good highway and bus connections.
We start our walk at the Marina, check out the town center and also visit the the Çeşme Castle. This castle is dating back to the 14th century and now hosts a museum. The view from the castle is also nice before we enjoy our walk back to the marina for a nice walking tour of this Turkish town.
