Clarke Quay to Merlion River Walk

We are in Singapore, the city-state in South-East Asia.

This time we start a walking tour in Clarke Quay, which is known for dining, shopping, and most importantly: nightlife. At the time of filming some construction was going on.

On this Singapore River Walk from Clarke Quay to the Merlion we cover about 3 kilometers following the Singapore River. We pass through Boat Quay and see both modern and colonial architecture on both sides of the river. There are many restaurants and bars where people meet after work.

Along the way on our tour, there are several bridges, each with its own design and many restaurants in this nice river setting. Notable sights include the Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum and Raffles Landing Site.

Our walk that evening ends at Merlion Park, home to the iconic Merlion statue. The Merlion is a symbol of Singapore, with the head of a lion and the body of a fish.
