We are in Copenhagen, Denmark.
We start our walking tour at Nyhavn, the iconic waterfront district with its colorful facades and some historical ships. This picturesque setting is a perfect introduction to the charm of Copenhagen and a must visit for tourists.
From Nyhavn we pass The Royal Theatre from where we stroll into Østergade, a lively part of Strøget known for its upscale shopping. As we continue, we explore Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets. Filled with a variety of shops and cafes there are also a few sights along the way. One of such sights is the Stork Fountain, a notable landmark on Amagertorv. It’s a popular meeting spot and a symbol of Copenhagen.
Soon we reach Købmagergade, another section of Strøget. The Round Tower awaits us next. This 17th-century observatory offers panoramic views of Copenhagen and is an important landmark for this city and Denmark.
Later we get to the Copenhagen University and walk through Jorcks Passage to return to Strøget.
Our tour concludes at City Hall Square where we also see the statue of Hans Christian Andersen.
