Rome, Italy, “The Eternal City” is a major tourist destination for ages. This title reflects its timeless beauty and the role Rome has played in world history.
We’re starting our Rome walking tour at the iconic Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous fountains in the world. The fountain was in the 18th century. This baroque masterpiece is a symbol of Roman extravagance. Legend has it that if you toss a coin into the fountain, you’re guaranteed a return trip to Rome.
Soon we will explore the narrow streets and several squares lined with gelaterias and cafes. We are passing many landmarks like the Pantheon on our steps through Rome. We end our tour at the Piazza Venezia with a view of the Monument of Vittorio Emanuele II, also known as the Altare della Patria (altar of the fatherland)
