Quedlinburg is a small German town with about 24,000 people in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The town was founded in the 9th century and has a lot of history making it attractive for tourists in the area.
The main attraction is Quedlinburg Castle, now a museum with old architecture. We start our walking tour in the Old Town which is a UNESCO site. . The town has many with old, half-timbered houses.
St. Nikolai Church is another must-see. Local lore talks about the Quedlinburg Treasure, a collection of old church items.
