Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) is a spa town in the Czech Republic. Located in western Bohemia, Karlovy Vary has numerous thermal springs which made it a popular resort since the 19th century. Other than the spas, the Czech liqueur “Becherovka” is also produced there. The Karlovarské oplatky (Carlsbad wafers) also originated in the city in 1867.

We are visiting this relaxig town occasionally. This time we walk in Karlovy Vary from the Grandhotel Pupp towards the Jan Becher Museum on a winter day. This walk is a somewhat the reverse direction from a rainy summer tour in August 2019 ( https://youtu.be/O2VUOZOAz90 ).
