Timișoara / Romania is a city in the west of the country, known as the “Little Vienna” of Romania. Timisoara is the third most populous city in Romania (after Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca), though not visited by many tourists, yet.

We start our walk at the central Unirii Square which is surrounded by baroque buildings. Some of the buildings are being renovated as Timisoara was one of the 2021 European Capitals of Culture.

Our tour covers most of the city center and we get an impression of a nice, and even vibrant atmosphere thanks to the many university students. Later we visit the Maria Theresia Bastion (Bastionul Maria Theresia) and return to our starting point seeing much of this city.
