Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a ski town in Bavaria. The town’s name was formed when 2 towns united in 1935. With its beautiful location in the Alps near the Zugspitze (2.962m), Germany’s highest peak, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a popular destination for hiking and winter sports.
We start our walking tour at the Parish Church of St. Martin (Pfarrkirche St. Martin) in the western part of the Garmisch town center. There we see the area and head back towards the Kurpark. Eventually we get to the train station and then walk towards Partenkirchen.
In Partenkirchen we walk along the Ludwigstrasse with several painted houses. This area was skipped on another tour ( https://youtu.be/9bXcTmjITr8 ). This time we walk a while before we end this tour.
