Florence / Italy (Italian: Firenze) is the capital of the country’s Tuscany region. The city of Florence is famous for being the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, as well as famous persons like the poet Dante. With many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture Florence is also on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

On this short walk around Florence we start at the iconic Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto.

From the heart of the historic center of Florence we walk around the Piazza del Duomo, see the city center with more sights like the The Palazzo Vecchio.

Our tour continues through the Uffizi Gallery (Piazzale degli Uffizi). We cross over the famous medieval bridge “Ponte Vecchio” to the Oltrarno part (other side of the Arno). From there we head east and up to the viewing point Piazzale Michelangelo where we can enjoy a sunset view of Florence.
