Dresden / Germany is the capital of the state of Saxony. With several historical attractions the city one of the main tourist destinations in Germany that we visit regularly here on POPtravel ( https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=poptravel+dresden ). However, there is more to Dresden than the old town.

On this walk we visit the non-touristy New Town (Neustadt) again where many locals live. - continuing the walk from https://youtu.be/HFTVeUZHbaw . The atmosphere there in the Neustadt - north of the old town- is different with more of a bohemian / alternative vibe.

Many younger people and students on the streets of Neustadt enjoy plenty of pubs and clubs or simply hang out. It’s still fairly safe there with occasional live music events. It so happens that we start our tour from the Alaunplatz and walk south towards the Elbe river where we end our Dresden Neustadt walking tour.
