Munich (German: München) is the capital of the German state of Bavaria and besides an industrial center also a major tourist destination. On this summer evening we walk around the inner city, visiting several sights after sunset.

Starting from at the Marienplatz, the central square of the city, we see the town hall and several nearby churches.

We pass the Hofbräuhaus on our way (have a peek inside here: https://youtu.be/BTAJP0aDud0 ) to the Bavarian State Opera (Bayerische Staatsoper). There we see the exclusive shops on our way to Odeonsplatz and the Hofgarten.

In the central park “Hofgarten” we walk around a bit, just as many locals who enjoy a stroll in the park.

We return to Odeonsplatz, get through the “Fünf Höfe” Shops to another sight of Munich - the Frauenkirche.

We circle this iconic church and head towards the Karslplatz. Instead of simply walking there we head to some of the backstreets that weren’t covered in previous walks. At the Karlsplatz (Stachus) we finally get back in the Neuhauser Str. / Kaufinger Str, one of the main pedestrian streets.

Our tour ends with more views of the Marienplatz, where we end our evening walk in Munich.
