Lindau / Germany is a town on Lake Constance (or Bodensee) known for its old town on Lindau island.
The harbour with ferries going to various destination on the Bodensee has a Bavarian Lion statue where we start our tour. We see the stone lighthouse the with some mountain views to Switzerland across the lake.
As we walk around harborfront (Seepromenade) we pass the 12th-century watchtower “Mangturm”. We continue to explore the old town with the busy Maximilianstrasse and sights like the Gothic Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) with a painted facade. Later we even get a bit out of the center when we head to the Diebsturm.
After a good tour around Lindau we end or walk at the Seepromenade which surely is one of the nicest spots of the town.
