Main / Germany is a city at the confluence of the Rhine and Main rivers. Mainz is the capital of the Rhineland-Palatinate region with rich cultural heritage with a history dating back 2000 years.

The location at Rhine and the Main river gave it a trade importance. It was the Mainzer Johannes Gutenberg which influenced Europe and beyond with his invention of the movable-type printing press.

We visited Mainz before on POPtravel https://youtu.be/scjLxGh17rA (March 2019) and now return to see some other areas, notably the restored old town.
