Wiesbaden / Germany is a city in state of Hesse, just like Frankfurt (am Main). Wiesbaden is the state’s capital.
We start our tour of Wiesbaden on a rainy afternoon (September 2020) at the RΓΆmertor - also known as “Heidenmauer” or Aquae Mattiacorum. From there we walk down to the city and explore the center with its many shopping streets.
After a few minutes we get to English-style landscaped Kurpark garden and Kurhaus. The Kurhaus now houses a convention center and a casino. The garden is a relaxing place in the city and popular for walks. We end up at an exit further away so the video speeds up a bit.
In the city center we see the red, neo-Gothic Market Church on Schlossplatz. Nearby is the neoclassical City Palace, seat of State Parliament.
We continue to see more of Wiesbaden, its parks and churches to finish at the same point where we started - the RΓΆmertor.
