Bremen is a city in northwest Germany that we visit often here on the channel. Located at the Weser River, Bremen is known for its role in maritime trade.
We start our tour with a look at the Weser River and walk straight to the Böttcherstraße. This street is only about 100 m long and famous for its unusual architecture. In the old town it is among the most popular tourist attractions.
Soon we see the Hanseatic buildings are around the Market Square and teh famous by the fairy tale “Bremer Stadtmusikanten” (Town Musicians of Bremen).
Our tour continues in the eastern part of the city center before we return to the Domshof. Finally we see some sights around the Oberstraße like the “Stadtwaage” - a rebuilt medieval weighing station.
At last we get to the park area “Am Wall” where we end our tour near the windmill.
