Krabi Town is the main town and capital of the Krabi province in southern Thailand. Krabi Town is laid back and less touristy than close by Ao Nang ( https://youtu.be/2ZJHufPvUMg ) which we also visited in the area. Most tourists arriving in Krabi go to Railay, Ao Nang or the islands Koh Lanta or Koh Phi Phi etc..

Located at the at the mouth of the Krabi River where it empties in Phang Nga Bay we start our tour at the “Krabi Crab”. This big sculpture is one of the main sights in Krabi Town and a popular photo spot for visitors.

Next we walk to the city center with its night market. There we see the many stalls offering food, drinks and clothes with the occasional cultural performance of locals as entertainment.

Our tour continues to check out more of the city that evening before we head back to the main night market where we experience more of genuine Thai life.
