Walking in HALLE (Saale) / Germany 🇩🇪

Halle (Saale) is a city in Saxony-Anhalt in central Germany. Located near Leipzig, it is only a short 30’ train ride away.

We start our tour near the train station. To get to the city center we walk on the Leipziger Straße. Many shops are located on this pedestrian street. On Sunday like this (September 2020) the shops are closed.

Soon we get to the Gothic bell tower “Roter Turm” and 16th-century church Marktkirche. There at the central town plaza is the clock tower, historic buildings, shops, cafes. Today there is also a stage for a summer event. A monument for Georg Friedrich Händel is also there - the Baroque composer who was born in Halle.

We get to the Göbelbrunnen first. Then we explore the old town and pass the Dom zu Halle, the Kunstmuseum Moritzburg and walk on smaller streets in this city.

At last we head back to the train station and end our summer tour of Halle.
