Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a German town in northern Bavaria. This place is known for its old town with picturesque medieval architecture. Many tourists visiting Bavaria make a trip to Rothenburg to see the many preserved gate houses and towers.

We start our tour of Rothenburg outside of the city walls and then explore the town. We also visit St. Jakob’s Church which houses a late Gothic altarpiece by woodcarver Tilman Riemenschneider.

With some parks and gardens we take our time on this tour, with a slower pace than usual on cobblestone streets to see many parts of Rothenburg and its old walls.
