Madrid, the capital of Spain is located right in the centre of the country. Our tour during winter goes all around the city center.
We start our tour at the Puerta del Sol town square, walk around the Del Sol area and on the Gran Via. We make it to the Plaza Major - Madrid’s vibrant main square. This time of the year Plaza Major has a Christmas market so stroll around there for a bit.
As we return to Sol we head to some of the main attractions next: the Palacio Real and the nearby Catedral de la Almudena where we manage to have a peek inside.
On our way to the Southern center we see a bit of Madrid outside the touristic areas before we head up North again. We get to La Latina and finally the Plaza de Jacinto Benavente where we end this winter tour of Madrid.
