Münster / Germany (engl. also: Muenster) is a city North Rhine-Westphalia. It originated as a monastery founded in 794. Now Münster is known for its university and as an administration centre. The city has a13th-century St. Paulus Dom cathedral and a reconstructed city center with the historical city hall and the Prinzipalmarkt.
We start our Münster tour at the central train station which is located East of the city center. We walk around 5 minutes westwards and see the “Dom” another 5 minutes later. The nice Prinzipalmarkt is busy on this September afternoon.
We walk further West and finally up North to see the outskirts of the center. In the more residential Buddenturm area we see more of the non-touristic side of Münster before we return to the cathedral. The eastern area of Münster with Alter Steinweg has many restaurants.
We complete our route by returning to the central train station and end our autumn / fall walking tour through one of the nicest cities in Germany.
