Manchester in the north west of England, is a major city of England and famous for its football club “Manchester United”. With an industrial heritage, Manchester is now also a cultural hub of England with many museums, theatres and nightlife.
We start our tour of Manchester at the Piccadilly Gardens Fountain. We walk around the city centre, head South check out Chinatown and the Albert Square with the Town Hall. We head North passing a few churches towards the Spinningsfield dirstrict.
There in Spinningsfield we see more modern architecture in the cityβs financial centre and a popular destination for shopping and entertainment.
We walk on Quay Street to the Odeon and onwards to the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
As we head back to the City Centre we pass through China Town again. We see some more side streets on our way East towards Canal St. There is a park with a Alan Turing memorial.
Going further East we enter the Bradford district with the Manchester Picadilly station. We are now further away from the centre so after some walk around we head back to the city. It is quiet a way as we end the walk where we started - at the Picadilly Gardens looking at the Queen Victoria’s Statue.
