Walking in YORK / England (UK) 🇬🇧

York is a city in northeast England. The city was founded by the Romans and is enclosed by 13th-century walls. The medieval architecture and its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral make it a popular tourist destination in England / UK.

We start this evening tour in York at the northern Exhibition Square outside the city walls. We enter the city and see the York Minster first. We walk around the beautiful Gothic cathedral through the gardens and stroll through a web of small streets in the old town centre.

The tour continues all way south to the River Ouse outside of the old town from where we walk past the York & Selby Magistrates’ Courthouse until the Clifford’s Tower.

It’s getting darker now. On our way back we pass through a more modern area of York. After we enter the old town again we see the many, restaurants, cafes and traditional pubs. The shops are closing now so we finish the tor where we started at the Exhibition Square.
