Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is one of the greatest cities in Europe and a popular tourist destination.

On this afternoon we start on the Buda side near the famous Széchenyi Chain Bridge overlooking the Danube river with the Parliament on the Pest side.
First we cross the Danube river to from the more calmer Buda side to the busier Pest side. The we head to the St. Stephen’s Basilica and stroll along the major walking street of the city Vaci Utca with many shops and restaurants for tourists.
After passing the Central Market Hall we head back to the Buda side crossing the southern Liberty Bridge (Szabadság hÃd). Passing Hotel Gellért we head up to a nice view from the Citadella, the fortress of Budapest.
Many people enjoy the view from there and we also take our time to explore the area before we end this walking tour of Budapest.
