Birmingham in England’s West Midlands region is a major city with a history in the industrial revolution. The city is less popular among tourists though is conveniently located between Oxford and Liverpool as a stopover.
We start our Birmingham city tour at the St. Martin in the Bull Ring and near the futuristic Selfridges department store. We take a quick stroll over the Bullring Open Market before we enter the city centre. Next we walk around China Town and also check out Grand Central. After the shopping area we head a bit out of central Birmingham and eventually return to the St. Philip’s Cathedral in the city centre.
There is more to see so we head to Victoria Square with the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and Town Hall there. It is getting late. It’s time to return to where we started walking on the New Street which is also a major hotel and shopping area.
We end our evening tour about where we started with a nice view of the cathedral St. Martin in the Bull Ring.
