We visit Southampton, in southern England, one of the warmest and sunniest cities in the UK. The area was settlement since Roman and Saxon times while the city became walled during the middle ages. Some parts of these defences remain in the city which we will visit on this tour.
We start our walk at the Titanic Engineers’ Memorial at East Park dedicated to the engineers who died in the Titanic disaster on 15 April 1912.
We head south on the Above Bar St passing the Guildhall and the also then west to the SeaCity Museum. We finish circling this block to head south again through the shopping area to the Bargate and medieval town walls.
Going further south we head to the old town with some houses from the 12th and 14th century the like Tudor House. On our way to the sea we also see the the Watergate ruin. We reach the ferry terminal where we end this tour.
