Going to Phuket in Thailand usually means beach time in Patong or Karong. This evening we walk in Phuket Town for a short visit away from the main tourist center. From Phuket Town it’s a quick transfer to the ferry port to Phi Phi island.

We walk around Chinatown there which has many of the typical shophouses. There is even a shopping street through a block. Many stylish cafés and restaurants make up for limited tourist sights in this town.

It’s a quiet atmosphere now at the end of the tourist season. We see some temple (Wat Mongkol Nimit) and also stroll through the central market enjoying a relaxed evening.
