Karlsruhe is the second largest city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg (after Stuttgart). This walk in Karlsruhe is on a public holiday so it’s fairly quiet in the centre.

We walk along the Karlsstraße and head to the Karlsruhe palace which is one of the few touristic sights in this industrial city. There in the palace garden people enjoy their holiday. We return through the fan shaped layout of the park and head back towards the inner city.

We pass the Rondellplatz, Friedrichsplatz among others. A few restaurants and cafés are open as we end this short walk near St. Stephen’s Square.
