The Joo Chiat Road in Singapore is special due to the heritage of the area. Different cultures settled there for a multiethnic mix - Peranakan (Strait Chinese), Eurasian as well as Indian and Malay.
We start at the Changi Road intersection near the Joo Chiat Complex and walk the complete Joo Chiat Road to the East Coast Park and the ocean. We also walk back in this video https://youtu.be/_C0M2pR7B8w .
While the centre of Singapore is modern with malls and skyscrapers, the Joo Chiat road has a more traditional style with Chinese shophouses. At night many KTV bars provide entertainment for the locals while plenty of eateries give a taste of various South East Asian dishes. Near the coast we see the common apartment buildings of locals making Singapore a densely populated city-state.
