Heidelberg in southwest Germany is known for the Heidelberg University, founded in the 14th century. The city has a nice old town together with a large student population and even a castle.

We often visit Heidelberg here on POPtravel where we saw many areas, including the castle. This tour on a rainy summer evening starts in the old town with empty streets and ends via the Hauptstraße at the Bismarkplatz.
